Michael B. Bayless, Ph.D.

In 1977, Dr. Michael B. Bayless began providing Forensic psychological services to adult and
juvenile probation departments, federal and state court, insurance companies, and private attorneys. Since that
time, Dr. Bayless has evaluated and diagnosed over a thousand clients. Additionally, he has testified in both
federal and state court for both plaintiff and defense in hundreds of cases.
In 1984 Dr. Bayless created a child and adolescence center specializing in treating at risk children from inter
city families. The company has twenty-two mental health professionals with sub-specialties in treatment and
diagnostic services.

Michael Ashton
Family Support Counselor
Mr. Ashton has experience working as a case manager for developmentally disabled and
mentally ill adults and children. He also has three years experience working with children with ADHD and
behavioral issues.
At Bayless and Associates, Michael works directly with children and families to help children be successful at home and school by providing parenting skills, anger management and, coping skills.

Mark Colclough
Case Manager
Mr. Colcough brings thirteen years experience in behavioral health services to Bayless and Associates. He has provided a wide variety of services from prevention to rehabilitation. His expertise
lies in behavior modification, life skills, social skills, leadership and personal development.
At Bayless and Associates, Mark is a part of the intensive case management team where he facilitates the
Child and Family Team process, strength needs and culture discovery, crisis and safety planning, and
implementation of service plans.

Jennifer M. Cataleta, MSW, CISW, CADAC
Certified Independent Social Worker

Clinically Certified Domestic Violence Counselor
Ms. Cataleta has worked in the Phoenix metropolitan area for approximately nine years. She has
experience working with culturally diverse populations of children, adolescents and families providing general mental
health assessment and treatment. Ms. Cataleta has also provided substance abuse treatment, domestic violence counseling
and has skill with program development and implementation.

Richard Crislip, MSW, LCSW
Clinical Director
Mr. Crislip has experience working as a child and family therapist specializing in
parent-child relationships, trauma, disruptive behavior disorders, depression, and acculturation issues. Over
the past 15 years, Richard has worked in a variety of behavioral health settings, including community-based
mental heath agencies, managed care organizations, domestic violence shelters, schools, and a private practice
focusing on marital and family counseling.
Richard is bilingual and has spent the majority of his career working with Hispanic families. He has worked
at Bayless and Associates for 5 years and currently has been promoted to Clinical Director.

Jennifer DeGraffe
Family Support Counselor
Ms. DeGraffe began working at Bayless and Associates in February 2005 as a Family Support
Counselor. Previous experience includes three years working with adolescent males in a Residential
Treatment Facility specializing in drug and alcohol and behavioral management.
Jennifer previously worked in the school setting implementing a drug prevention program. At Bayless
and Associates, she specializes in adolescent behavioral disorders, school related difficulties, and
behavioral modification.

Cynthia Doyle
Family Support Counselor
Ms. Doyle came to Bayless and Associates in June of 2005 with fourteen years experience
working with the Department of Mental Retardation in Massachusetts. Cynthia has also worked as a bilingual
paraprofessional in the elementary schools.
In addition she has worked with children of all ages that were placed in a group home setting. Cynthia
specializes in school related difficulties and independent living skills.

Julie Garcia, BA
Clinical Liaison
Ms. Garcia joined the Bayless and Associates team in March of 2005. She has over 18 years
experience providing substance abuse counseling for adults and juveniles. Julie was a therapeutic foster parent
for several years for teenagers. Julie is also an active surrogate parent for a number of children throughout the
state of Arizona. She also has an extensive background in developing intensive outpatient and residential programs.
Julie was involved in the initial pilot program implementing the Child and Family Team Model in Arizona. At Bayless
and Associates, she specializes in adolescent behavior disorders, independent living skills, and quality management.

Ana M. Gomez, M.C., NCC
National Certified Counselor
Ms. Gomez has worked in the Phoenix metropolitan area for approximately five years. She is bilingual
in English and Spanish and has experience in working with victims of trauma and sexual abuse, victims of domestic
violence and individuals with learning disabilities. Ms. Gomez has also provided psycho-educational groups in
substance abuse, anger management and domestic violence. At Bayless and Associates she offers counseling services
to children, adolescents and families from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

Ms. Humphries has worked for the past 6 years at Bayless & Associates. Her duties have included
therapy for child and adult populations who are culturally diverse. Marian has gained knowledge and experience in the
coordination of intake assessments, adolescent behavioral disorders, school related difficulties and adjustment
disorders, anxiety disorders and stress management, and is currently the lead Clinical Liaison at Bayless and Associates.

Bianca Saldivar
Family Support Counselor
Ms. Saldivar joined the staff of Michael B. Bayless and Associates in March of 2005.
As a Family Support Counselor she specializes in implementing various life skills and social adjustments to
adolescents who have been sexually abused and have behavioral disorders.
Ms. Saldivar has experience working closely with school faculty and family members in promoting a better social
environment in school as well as in the home.

Beth G. Valdez
Clinical Liaison
Ms. Valdez has a wide range of experience working with children, adolescents, adults,
family and couples in a variety of settings including in-patient psychiatric settings, clinical settings,
schools, in-home and court referred clients. She has worked as a group leader for substance abuse,
domestic violence, and anger management groups.
She has also worked extensively with families to help improve communication, martial/relationship issues,
family functioning, and parenting skills.

Matthew Wattay
Family Support Counselor
Prior to joining the staff at Bayless and Associates, Matthew worked as an Employment
Recruiter, which included assisting individuals with job placement, as well as overall career counseling.
In April of 2005, Matthew joined Bayless and Associates as a Family Support Counselor assisting a
culturally diverse children and adult population.
He has been able to implement various life skills and behavior modification techniques to facilitate and
improve physical, social psychological, and environmental life style for children and adults, as well as
their family members.

Helene Zupanc, M. Ed, LPC
Clinical Liaison
Ms. Zupanc has strong experience currently serving as a Licensed Professional Counselor,
National Certified Counselor, Certified Special and Elementary teacher, and a certified school counselor.
She also has experience as a special education teacher, mental health consultant, prevention specialist,
and counselor.
Helene specializes in working with children around various issues such as feeling management, social
skills, impulse control, trauma, sexual abuse, grief and loss, and problem solving.

Maria E. Willis
Ms. Willis possesses over twenty years of experience as a care giver, teaching life
skills, coaching and mentoring children and adults. Maria has received training through Dept. of Children
Family Services of Illinois and Providence Corporation in Arizona and works extensively with sexually
abused children, behavior disordered children and children with special needs. Also for twenty years she
has served as a foster and surrogate parent.
Maria joined the team of Bayless and Associates as a Family Support Partner November of 2004.

Virgina A. Gonzalez, MSW, CISW

Ms. Gonzalez has worked in the Phoenix metropolitan area for approximately three years.
